Natixis Partners was mandated by SOCOFE in December 2024 to advise on a participation in a BESS project near Huy, Gramme I, alongside Kallima, a local developer.
The Gramme I BESS project comprises a 2-hours 50MW Wärtsilä energy storage system for a total storage capacity of 100 MWh. The project is directly connected to the high-voltage grid via Elia’s Gramme substation. COD is scheduled by Q3 2027. The facility is to benefit from the capacity remuneration mechanism for a least 10 years, and to be operational for a minimum period of 15 years.
Natixis Partners also coordinated the negotiation of the senior financing agreement with ING, as well as the onboarding of SFPIM and Wallonie Entreprendre as both shareholders and subordinated lenders.
